Back in January Kai was wound up and it was close to 9 PM. I asked him to
close his eyes and think of our whole family being in a place that he
loves...the beach perhaps? And he said, "But that's kind of sad. Because
our whole family won't be there." And I said, "You know, Kai, Meecie
wasn't with me at Christmas but it really wasn't so bad. I had a really
nice time anyway. We'll be OK." And he said, "Mom, I think your mom was
with you on Christmas."
And then I asked him if he thought she was with him. And he said yes. He said, "One day when I was thinking about her..."
Yesterday Fud and Nina were listening to music, Fud heard a song that made him kind of sad because it reminded him of Meecie, and he shared that with Nina. She looked at him with those big blue eyes and simply said, "Hug." and reached out her arms.
